OUR FOUNDATION
Empowering the Future of Kenyan Education
Olomunyak Foundation is committed to increasing access to high-quality education for children in the Talek Community. Our goal is to transform the community by equipping the local school with structural resources, supporting student wellbeing, and preserving core values of empowerment, empathy, and sustainable educational growth.

From One Small Vision to a Rising Future
The Olomunyak Foundation began when Jackson Rakwa noticed children in his community were missing out on an education simply because the walk to the nearest school was too long. Jackson knows the importance of education. Despite his father's objections, he was determined to go to school. After graduating secondary school, he attended guide school in Nairobi and is now a senior member of the Wilder Group. Jackson is a respected elder in the community and serves on the Board of Directors for the Naboisho Conservancy. He now owns his own camp bordering the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Driven to make a change, he and his brother utilized a $10,000 donation to establish a local school on family land in 2014. What started with just one humble building and 14 students has blossomed into a thriving campus. Today, Talek School proudly serves 438 students from kindergarten through grade 9.Â
